HISTORY OF SILVANAS
THE ORIGIN OF SILVANAS
SILVANAS, (sylvanas,sylvannas) has been a favorite Philippine dessert cookie since 1978. This mid-afternoon snack's can be traced back to the Philippine-Spanish colonial era in the 1800's, thought to be served as a bite-sized version of a sans rival cake. It has been re-popularized in a bake shop called Sans Rival Cakes and Pastries in Dumaguete, a city in the southern Philippines.
Silvanas has since gained a nationwide following. And it's here FIRST at La Dulce,
we are bringing this sweet taste of home and history here Seattle!
Silvanas, (Sylvanas, Sylvannas)

The Basque version is a kind of cheesecake that wants to get burnt, cracked and cooked at high heat.
It is the alter ego of the famous New York cheesecake.
Basque Cheesecake originated from Basque, Spain, a cheesecake that has a burnt layer but light and deliciously creamy interior.
